Getting a sponsorship can be a good idea. Although it may seem like a small amount, it is worth remembering that many small revenue streams make a much larger stream on sight. So even if you can just raise 100,000 Credits in sponsorship each season, you will end up with 5.2 million. credits seen over an entire year and 52 seasons.
For many years, there have been a number of attempts to define one strategy so that one can be guaranteed a sponsorship every season. However, there is no final decision on what it is you can apply for, so that you are 100% sure of being awarded an attractive sponsorship.
The starting point is a clubs VIFA points and supporters after the season is over. This means that all 30 matches must be played to an end.
The 5-10 method
On the Danish forum, there has been a rule of thumb to apply for a sponsor with the “5-10 method”. This means that you as a club apply for a sponsorship based on the following:
Basic amount: Vifa points x 5
Bonus amount: Supporters x 10
The 3-5 method
Unlike the Danish forum, there is a completely different rule of thumb in the international forum. The international rule is defined to a 3-5 method. It will most likely be safer to go for this one, but you will not get as large a sum of credits as with the 5-10 method:
Basic amount: Vifa-point x 3
Bonus amount: Supporters x 5
The high roller method
In recent times, there has been a lot of writing around that one can try to apply for what one would call “unrealistically” high amounts. Therefore, it is generally recommended to save one of the five sponsorship applications in order to apply for a high bonus amount. For example, it could be like this:
Basic amount: 1 Credit
Bonus amount: 2,500.00 Credits
